Businesses need qualified, skilled, and highly disciplined employees in order to achieve their goals. For a business to have a pool of highly skilled workers, it must have an excellent human resource department and other departments too. If the human resource selects the wrong employees for a given job, there are high chances of poor productivity. One of the most affected departments is the administration department in which unskilled personnel make decisions may grind a business. Common mistakes can be avoided if a business employs skilled and quick learning employees who have the capability to correct a fault before it escalates into a crisis that may generate large losses for the business.

• Data entry

One of the most important activities or any employee is data entry. Almost all employees in a business have to participate in one form of data entry or the other and this is why data entry skills are a must have for all employees to a business. Improper data entry may result in losses, loss of customers, poor decision making, and many other shortcomings for a business

• Management

The management is involved with the authorization of all activities that take in a business, which means any form of wrong data entry will result in the generation of huge losses, or legal action against a business. Employing not skilled individuals as managers is a vital mistake for any business, and great care should be taken to ensure this does not happen.

• Accounting department

The accounting department is one of the most hit by improper records and a slight mistake can lead to serious trouble for the business. Employees for this department should be accurate and skilled, which implies the recruitments process should be through. In this era, most of the accounting is done using software, which means without a correct data entry process the data will be improperly analysed.

• Sales and marketing

In the recording of sales, people need great accuracy, to avoid overcharging or undercharging customers.

• Field officers

Field service officers also need to have excellent data entry skills because they need carry out questionnaire surveys and interviews to get the level of customer satisfaction. They also have to invoice customers after rendering services.

• Customer service team

Customer service team also have to be highly experienced in data entry for they need to make a proper recording of customer needs and complaints, before forwarding it to the relevant departments.
